The Process Of Producing Timberframe Manufacturing Drawings

The usual process is to receive your architects' drawings along with the structural engineers' specification and convert these into the Timber Framing manufacturing drawings. It may sometimes be necessary to start drawings prior to receipt of the structural calculations to advance the programme and this can normally be accommodated. After completion of the design phase of the work we are able to produce a full set of manufacturing drawings and, if requested, full schedules of material cutting lists to suit your needs and which may be reproduced in an Excel format for your further utilisation requirements.

Drawings are produced specifically to your own build specifications, whatever your requirements.

Every Panel Drawing incorporates full manufacturing details and inclusion of a Cutting List completes the individual drawing. The included information is specific to your requirements.

In addition to the Floor Layouts, full Sole Plate, Joists Layouts and Roofing detail drawings are prepared.

Full layouts of all aspects of the project are provided and include all necessary information to complete the build of the Timber Frame.

Everything is fully dimensioned and all panels are notated to aid the site erection team.

Inevitably every building has its own idiosyncrasies which in turn help build a wealth of experience and ultimately help to produce drawings both speedily and accurately. Not only is the timber framing aspect of the building designed but any specialised steel fabrication to Structural Engineers requirements can also be designed for separate manufacture.
